This coming Monday, September 19th during the 4:30 and 5:30pm class, our friends at Mid 10 Nutrition are stopping by to let us sample some supplements. If you want a protein powder, but aren’t sure what to get, make sure you are there! They will be sampling protein powders and possibly some BCAA supplements.
Here is my favorite post workout shake for the fall:
10 ounces of Almond Milk
1 scoop of vanilla protein
1/4 cup of canned pumpkin
1 frozen banana
1 tablespoon of pumpkin seeds
1 dash of cinnamon or allspice
Oh…When it cools off and you want a kick in your morning coffee….try this:
Blend together:
Hot Black Coffee
1 Tablespoon of coconut oil
a few dashes of cinnamon
a pinch of cayenne
Drink this with a protein dense meal….no carbs. Not because I hate carbs, but there’s no point in drinking fat with a bunch of carbs. This is a great (morning) pre workout drink that provides some energy from the fat and a boost from the caffeine.
